If you are new to therapy, welcome!
I am so excited you are choosing to make this investment in yourself. You might have questions about how it all works and that is totally normal. Simply put— therapy is a space for you to heal, evolve, and create new patterns to support the life you deserve.
Your first session will consist of learning more about you, what led you to therapy, and creating a therapy plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. My goal is for you to feel safe, heard, and seen during this first session.
As for frequency of sessions—I recommend more consistent sessions in the beginning stages, then cadence is reduced once progress is made and sustained. Clients may choose to discontinue therapy at this phase or maintain progress via monthly or as-needed sessions.
Progress is dependent your unique process and on the complexity of what you are looking to work on. Every client processes at their own rate and I believe the body knows when it’s safe enough to dive into deeper issues.
